Our Journal Center location is centrally located to all of Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Corrales, and all of New Mexico. Near the intersection of I-25 and Paseo del Norte, we are located just south of the Marriott Pyramid with easy parking, right in front of the door.

Northeast Heights office also accepting new patients
In addition to our Journal Center location, we have a Northeast Heights office just south of Montgomery on Juan Tabo, right across from El Dorado High School. All providers will be available by appointment in our NE Heights location.

Carrie Swartz, MD, FACOG
Gynecology & Gynecologic Surgery
Dr. Carrie Swartz is a Board-Certified doctor in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Swartz grew up in Kansas and went to the University of Colorado in Boulder where she earned her degrees in Chemistry and Biochemistry. She returned to Kansas to attend medical school at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City and Wichita and earned her M.D. From there, she moved to Albuquerque and fell in love with New Mexico during her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center. Before opening her gynecology practice in Albuquerque, she was in private practice in OB-Gyn in Boulder, Colorado.
She now limits her practice to gynecology and gynecologic surgery to better focus on her patients' needs.
She also speaks Spanish.
In her free time, she enjoys photography, skiing, and hiking with her husband and her two boys.
Katherine Brawley, PA-C
Physician's Assistant
Katherine (Kate) Brawley has many years of experience in women's health and obstetrics and gynecology, joining us from her previous practice in Utah. She trained at both Brigham Young University and the University of Florida College of Medicine. She has a particular interest in fertility evaluations and contraception. She enjoys her time away with her adorable boys.
Elizabeth Carlson, CNM, FNP
Certified Nurse Midwife & Nurse Practitioner
Elizabeth (who usually goes by Lisa!) Carlson is a certified nurse midwife and nurse practitioner who has devoted her career to the care of women. Lisa grew up in Minnesota and completed her Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Midwifery training here at UNM. Before joining Bosque Women's Care, Lisa cared for the women of Las Vegas, NM at Alumbra Women's Health and El Centro Family Health. She is on faculty with the UNM College of Nursing working with their NP students. Lisa has a particular interest in non-surgical management of prolapse (pessary care) and adolescent gynecology. We are grateful to her husband, two kids, and pug who share her with us!
Tracy O'Shea, FNP
Nurse Practitioner
Tracy joins us after recently completing her nurse practitioner program. She has worked for many years in critical care, most recently at UNM Hospital. She cares deeply for her patients and enjoys both preventive medicine for women as well as helping them through problems. She lives in Albuquerque with her husband and two boys.
Lauren Larkin, PhD, WHNP
Women's Health Nurse Practitioner
Lauren is a Women’s Health NP joining us after completing her training at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. Before pursing a career as a women’s healthcare provider, Lauren worked in a cell biology research lab at New York University.
She is a Spanish speaker.
She is looking forward to working with patients to provide the best care possible.
Outside of the clinic, she enjoys practicing yoga and exploring all that Albuquerque has to offer.
